Colin Daileda is a multimedia journalist who works as a national reporter at Mashable, where he has covered hate crimes, heroin, and shootings by police from on-the-ground locations across the United States, including Alabama, Maryland, Massachusetts, Missouri, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Washington and Washington, D.C. 

He has led Mashable's breaking news coverage of police brutality cases in North Charleston, South Carolina; Pasco, Washington; and Baltimore, Maryland, where his reporting was nominated for an Online News Association award for Breaking News.

In addition to breaking news and writing features, he's brought Mashable's coverage to millions of viewers on Twitter, hundreds of thousands of viewers on Snapchat and tens of thousands of viewers on Periscope. 

Before he started at Mashable, he wrote for The AtlanticForeign Policy and The Washingtonian. 

Finally, he co-founded Or Something, a website that aims to use all types and genres of storytelling to generate different conversations about the topics of today.
